Cancellation Policy
Terms and conditions Please read this carefully. Registration: Registration fees are non-refundable. We reserve the right to refuse a registration or a second enrollment for reasons we deem valid. A student is registered when the agreed invoice is paid up. Cancellation policies: Group Lessons course: A group class will open when a minimum number of registered students is reached. If the group class does not open after registration, the total amount paid for the course will be refunded by Instituto de Idiomas Cape Town within the following 10 days. The registration fee can be refunded if the student doesn’t want to attend another class. A calendar of the scheduled lessons will be provided. No change of date is possible after the start of the course. Once the invoice is sent, regardless of the amount of time before the start of the course, if the student chooses not to attend, the registration is still due. Cancellation of a group lessons course from students prior to the course start date must be made in writing at least 7 business days prior to the first class to be eligible for a full refund, less the registration fee. Cancellations made less than 7 business days won’t be refunded. After course start, the full package is non-refundable, and none of the classes missed by the student can be refunded. Each class missed because of Instituto de Idiomas Cape Town will be rescheduled. If no agreement is possible to reschedule the class, a full refund will be provided. Online lessons What do I need to participate? A connection to the internet with a camera and ideally a headset for better sound. We don’t provide lessons without a camera on, as it would affect the quality of the lessons. Connection problems In case of faulty internet connections or technical problems with the student’s computer, the lesson is lost. Same if a loadshedding wasn’t forecasted the day before. In some cases, a catch-up lesson can be provided. In case of a faulty connection of the teacher’s device, technical problems, or unforecasted loadshedding, the length of time lost during the lesson will be postponed.
